Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons
GME EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) are completely self-contained radio transmitters designed for emergency use. When activated, they transmit an internationally recognized distress signal. They are designed to be used when the safety of you, your craft or your crew is endangered and you have no other means of communication. GME has combined over 20 years experience in designing and manufacturing EPIRBs to produce products that lead the industry in personal safety equipment.
MT403 and MT403G
The GME MT403 406 MHz digital EPIRB is the latest exciting extension of GME's growing family of innovative safety products. A key feature of the MT403 series is the use of non-hazardous battery packs that are IATA compliant and allow for restriction free transportation.
The MT403 also includes a water activation feature. Once it has been removed from its mounting bracket, the MT403 will activate automatically on immersion in water. Of course you can also activate it manually if required.
The MT403G has an additional 16 Channel parallel GPS receiver with top mounted Quad helix antenna to improve location accuracy to better than 100 metres typically.
MT403FF and MT403FG
Designed to meet the most demanding regulatory approvals the GME MT403FG is a Class 2, Category 1 EPIRB in a fully enclosed float free housing with a Hammar HRU that will release the beacon at a certain depth, the beacon will then automatically activate.
Using the same innovative technology that produced the MT400 and revolutionised the EPIRB world, the MT403FF now offers commercial vessel operators the same GME performance and value enjoyed by recreational boaters. A key feature of the MT403 series is the use of non-hazardous battery packs that are IATA compliant and allow for restriction free transportation.
The MT403FG has an additional 16 Channel parallel GPS receiver with top mounted Quad Helix antenna to improve location accuracy to better than 100 metres typically.
- Completely waterproof.
- Fitted with long life batteries capable of retaining up to 90% of their original Amp Hour capacity after 10 years.
- Safety seal which serves to indicate that the beacon has never been turned on and the batteries have not been used.
- Test facility to allow the beacons functionality to be tested without fear of accidentally transmitting a distress signal. The test actually measures the transmitters power output, not just the battery condition.
- Extended GME warranty. GME Electrophone has full service and maintenance facilities to maintain your beacon and provide recertification where required.
